However, in physical dependence studies in monkeys, withdrawal symptoms were observed upon abrupt cessation of dosing.

Consequently, patients should be evaluated carefully for a history of drug abuse and such patients should be observed closely for signs of Abilify misuse or abuse.

For example, the development of tolerance, increases in dose, or drug-seeking behavior.

What are some of the side-effects of Abilify?

The side effects of Abilify include: a feeling of restlessness with an inability to sit still, indigestion, infrequent bowel movements, drowsiness, dizziness, chronic trouble sleeping, head pain, vomiting and anxiety.

What are the withdrawal symptoms of Abilify?

Abilify withdrawal symptoms can include insomnia, hallucinations or delusions, and bipolar symptoms such as manic or depressive episodes. These symptoms may not improve with time as they may be symptoms of the underlying disorder.
